My PhD looks at how an approach called Linked Data, which is used to connect digital resources, can be integrated with research on the Ancient World. CHASE’s Arts and Humanities in the Digital Age programme was a brilliant opportunity to consolidate my knowledge and work with like-minded students. CHASE funding also enabled me to attend several conferences, including the main Digital Humanities conference in Montreal, where I gave a short talk on my research at a pre-conference workshop. Closer to home, I had the opportunity to speak as part of a student panel at an event on Researching Born-Digital Archives, organised by the AHRC and British Library, and gave a seminar as part of the Institute of Classical Studies’ Digital Classicist series. Being part of the CHASE community has provided opportunities that would not otherwise be possible, and which have provided huge benefits for both my research and my professional development.
