The Consortium for the Humanities and the Arts South-East England (CHASE) is delighted to offer up to 56 Arts and Humanities Research Council PhD studentships and is seeking applications from outstanding graduates to undertake doctoral research starting in October 2024.
CHASE is actively committed to the values of diversity and inclusivity. Our studentships are open to both Home and International students who have received an offer of a place from one of our member institutions. Recognising the barriers facing graduates from Black, Asian and minority ethnicity backgrounds in the UK in accessing research council funding, we offer additional studentships for these candidates in partnership with the Stuart Hall Foundation.
Successful applicants will have their fees paid, and receive a stipend to cover living expenses. We offer funding on a full- or part-time basis to accommodate your research alongside other commitments. Additional funds are available for skills development, including language training, placements and to support research expenses. We welcome applications from Home and International students.
