Date: Wednesday 22 June
Location: Online via Zoom
Attendance: Compulsory
Open to: All CHASE doctoral researchers in receipt of a studentship, all CHASE Alumni, all arts and humanities doctoral researchers at CHASE institutions.
This is your opportunity to present your research to your peers in the CHASE researcher community. CHASE funded researchers are expected to contribute fully to this online conference by presenting their research in one of the formats outlined below. If, however, you are planning to organise a session for the summer social, we will not expect you to also present at this conference (although you are very welcome to!).
Call for contributions
Please send a short (250 words maximum) abstract for your proposed talk. We will use this to assign panels. Please also indicate which of the following formats suits you best:
5-minute presentation – a short intervention giving a broad overview of your project or focused on a specific aspect of the project
20-minute presentation – a more in-depth presentation of your project, perhaps best suited to those nearing completion of their project.
Panel – a ready-made panel lasting about one hour with a format of your choosing. Please provide names and abstracts for each talk, an outline of the proposed format, the theme and title of the panel, and confirmation of who will chair the panel.
Poster presentation – the poster will be available prior to the conference and you will be invited to present the poster and answer questions about it during a poster presentation session.
Something else – if none of the above formats work for you, please feel free to suggest something else. Give as much detail as possible about how the session would work, how much time you would need, and any other useful information.
Please send your proposals to us (or let us know why you are not able to present) by
Friday 20 May 2022 using this online form.
