In our third network event, the AuralPluralities Network presents Annie Goh, Sandra Kazlauskaite and Marie Thompson, whose practices are entwined by way of a shared critical interest in gender, technology and auditory culture in relation. Over an afternoon we will listen with and listen in communion, immersing ourselves in the field of Archaeoacoustics and the rendering of echo within sonic knowledge production. We will grapple with what a “de-privatisation” of tinnitus might mean to those who experience it and those who research it, and we will explore gendered (sound) -scapes through field recording, graphic scores and methodologies of radical care. We also invite you to join in with shared conversation throughout the day, on the proposed topics and beyond.
