Changes to our social media presence
At CHASE, we are committed to fostering rigorous academic discourse, intellectual integrity, and a supportive research community. However, the evolving environment on X (formerly Twitter) no longer aligns with these values. Increasing levels of toxicity, misinformation, and misrepresentation undermine the open and constructive engagement that is essential to our aims and those of our CHASE community.
After careful consideration amongst the CHASE team and with our member institutions, we have decided to step away from this platform. This decision reflects our responsibility to uphold a space where meaningful academic exchange can flourish without distortion or hostility.
We remain dedicated to supporting our researchers, scholars, and partners through other channels that better reflect our principles.
Having used Twitter for the past 10 years, it will take some time to detangle from the platform, but over the coming weeks, we will cease posting and will be reviewing our training materials that reference the platform, putting in advisories or removing reference to it, where relevant.
If you are reading this via our email bulletin, this is the best place for up-to-date news, training and opportunities, so you are in the right place! If you are reading this on our website, you may wish to consider signing up to our mailing list using the sign-up box below.
You will also find us on the following platforms, which we aim to grow and embed into our regular communications.
BlueSky for connecting with the CHASE community and finding out about current CHASE activities, networks and opportunities.
LinkedIn (requires a LinkedIn login) - we encourage current researchers and alumni to join our network on LinkedIn, where we will share opportunities or news. You may also wish to tag us as ‘CHASE DTP’ in your bio, or in any post that you’d like us to share with the community.
Thank you to those who have engaged with us thoughtfully and respectfully over the years—we look forward to continuing our conversations in kinder, more constructive spaces.
