CHASE to work with project to support Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Postgraduate Researchers

We are pleased to announce that CHASE is to be involved in a new project led by the University of Essex to support Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic students in postgraduate research.

The four year project, 'Transitions and Transformations: The Black Researcher’s Journey', is part of an £8m initiative funded by Research England and the Office for Students to help reduce inequalities for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic students in Higher Education.  The project is designed to develop a sustainable model of support for Black researchers, by focusing on the key moments of transition in a Black (prospective) researcher’s journey: the Capstone/UG dissertation project, the MA/MSC dissertation, PhD dissertation, and the point of embarking into careers, as moments in time where transformative interventions have the greatest effect. CHASE will be involved in various ways, including mentoring, providing training and promoting opportunities across our consortium.
