Welcome to CHASE

This is a copy of the ‘Welcome to CHASE’ email sent on 19 October to new CHASE doctoral researchers

Hello and a very warm welcome to the CHASE Doctoral Training Partnership. We hope that your term begins well and we look forward to introducing you to CHASE over the coming weeks.

The purpose of this page is to give you information about getting started as a CHASE-funded doctoral researcher and making the most of your studentship.

We’ve gathered the resources that you will need, including your CHASE 2024 Handbook, induction sessions and online module, and given you four tasks for you to complete. It’s really important that you find time to complete these tasks by their stated deadlines, and we’ve given some indicative times for each task to help you plan.

The tasks for newly funded doctoral researchers are:

  1. Register for the induction event, induction workshops, and complete your researcher profile which will feature on the CHASE website here

  2. Read the CHASE Handbook

  3. Complete the ‘Welcome to CHASE’ induction module

  4. Complete the Training Needs Survey

We hope that you feel welcome and supported as you start your CHASE PhD journey. Both the CHASE team and our colleagues at your institution are here to help you with any queries or concerns.

Wishing you all the best for the start of your CHASE studentship,

 The CHASE Team
