Presenting at Conferences in the Arts and Humanities
This two-part workshop combines a wide-ranging introduction to academic conferences, writing abstracts and preparing presentations (including Powerpoint slides) with a practical session on the second day. Participants are encouraged to try out presentation techniques in a friendly environment, and to reflect on their impressions in the audience for each other's presentations, in an exchange of constructive feedback drawing out learning points for all.

'I had really been struggling to find a presentation style / technique that suits me and my subject. This workshop was a great way to test out something new. I realised today I actually know my stuff, this is my strength, so I should use my more informal style to my advantage. The workshop will help you reflect on what is important in your work, and get open, honest, friendly feedback that will make your presentation and your presentation skills 100%!'
